Solo Exhibition at the Dublin Arts Council: "Shelter (Our) Place"

August 18, 2020

Christine D’Epiro Abbott: Shelter (Our) Place
September 22 through October 30

Dublin Arts Council
7125 Riverside Drive, Dublin Ohio 43016

As the pandemic dramatically shifts the focus toward life at home, Ohio artist Christine D’Epiro Abbott portrays a hopeful perspective of joyful communion in Shelter (Our) Place. The exhibition celebrates the connections found in our most ordinary and intimate spaces. Detailed compositions of domestic scenes invite further inspection to reveal details such as shoes, toys, instruments and laundry. The exhibition includes artworks created using printmaking techniques such as silkscreen, drypoint, relief and mono-printing.

D’Epiro Abbott has been exhibiting nationally for more than ten years, is included in several collections and has participated in residencies in Missouri, Vermont and Ohio. She is a core member of Phoenix Rising Printmaking Collaborative, Columbus, Ohio.

Appointments can be made to visit the exhibition beginning Sept. 8.  One hour appointments for two visitors will take place Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.–3:30p.m., and the second Saturday of the month 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The online scheduling platform can be accessed at https://visitdublinartscouncil.as.me.
